DFA1 Training Fees

Costs

The training costs, the examination fee as well as additional costs are fixed. For 2010 the costs for a complete course is € 5950,-. Included in the price is the following:

  • 30 lessons of 4 hours;
  • a practice examination in Alkmaar;
  • final examination in Alkmaar;
  • access to our florist library;
  • all flowers and materials;
  • and assisting at weddings.

What makes a DFA training at Blomatelier a truly unique experience:

  • Individual training and coaching (4 students max.);
  • Weekly visit to the auction;
  • selecting your own flowers at the auction;
  • visits to museums and exhibitions;
  • city tours;
  • meeting the Dutch;
  • training combined with a cultural experience;
  • pick-up from the airport;
  • books;
  • examination & certificate.

Certificate

Candidates who passed the examination will receive the practice certificate Dutch Flower Arrangements 1.

The certificate is recognised by the line organisation, VBW-Centrale Vereniging Bloemendetailhandel (Dutch Association Flower Retail Trade). The certificate entitles an addition for workers in the flower retail trade, in accordance with the applied Central Labour Agreement.

Continuation training

With the practice certificate DFA 1 you have admittance to the course:

  • Dutch Flower Arrangements 2 (DFA 2)
  • Advanced Dutch Flower Arrangements 1 (ADFA 1)

Accommodation

Blomatelier can arrange your homestay in the historical city centre of Gouda. Homestay costs €350,- per week. For the length of the training the cost of the homestay sums up to €2100,- this also includes all meals during training days and laundry facilities.
